The Adventure and strategy game, Sims there’s another part in the Sims series that appeals (even more) to people: the designing, building and decorating a house. Future architects can really let go. For them this expansion seems very suitable: even more stuff to approach your dream house! Of course people who pay more attention to playing with your Sims are left out cold. The new thingies don’t help increase the bars more than the old ones did.
Kitchen and bathroom this package brings you new mirrors, bath tubs, toilets, laps, furniture, devices and all sorts of decorative stuff
Even for wannabe-architecs things aren’t all great and shiny. In fact the amount of items is quite thing and you’re hooked to the entire offering: you may find a couple interesting things, but you’ve got to take all the rest along. Sometimes it aren’t even totally different designs but just color variations of the same thing. It’s not really difficult that way to get to the magical number 60 that’s listed on the box.

The expansion isn’t only limited to kitchen and bathroom stuff; also a bunch of night clothing is present. Other things that wouldn’t have hurt in the kitchen are for example new tables and chairs, unless you’ve got enough Simdollars to put a fancy dining room in your house. But even then a problem remains: decorating your entire home in a similar style as your bathroom or kitchen isn’t possible, unless you’ve got even more additional expansion packs laying around.
Channel 5’s Property File has chosen to showcase the home and workplace of Sheila Dunlop as part of a profile on people who “live the dream”.
Featuring in the episode will be Mrs Dunlop’s 200-year-old cottage on the outskirts of Bath, and her prestigious Ivy House Design School in Walcot Gate.
The makers of Property File are always on the hunt for beautiful places to live and work and were fascinated by Mrs Dunlop’s school, housed in a beautiful period building in the heart of Bath’s historic artisan quarter - Walcot Street.
The school attracts would-be Laurence Llewelyn-Bowens from all over the world and has about 200 students through its doors each year.
Its studios and grand 30ft-high hall are housed in what was once a Georgian farmhouse. Now it is an intriguing mix of styles from across the ages. Read the rest of this entry »
The traditional furniture and antique design, shilhuette and contemporary classic design.
Interior designer Kat Burki launch a line of furniture, home textiles and other goods called Kat Burki Home.
The line, which Burki says combines European flair with updated classics, will be sold through a catalog to be mailed nationwide in August and online at www.katburkihome.com.
“I’ve always admired the attention to detail in traditional furniture making. I try to translate these techniques into a new category that is antique in design and silhouette and contemporary in spirit but will be sure to remain a classic,” said Burki, whom a press release describes as “Connecticut’s top interior designer.”
Arizona sun is very damaging to Our Home’s Interior. With extreme temperatures and the monsoon in progress, we must always follow the care and maintenance needed to maintain a constant subject to direct sunlight. The door of the house, especially if it is facing west, gets the most sun exposure.
By replacing the entrance door, it gives you an opportunity to customize. We tend to identify our personality with objects and sometimes we judge or have developed a perception of people watching what they have. I believe that the main door of a house is like your own signature to your castle.
Take a look at all the choices and also keeping in mind the price ranges, will help refine the selection. It is important to keep in mind the regulations of your property so maybe look at your homeowners association rules.
One of the trends for entry into Arizona doors are made of wrought iron gates. They can be customized to any style architecture and you can add your personal touch by choosing the design, color and finish.

Welcome to Interior Design of St.
Louis. This is where the eye candy, furniture luxury to meet their deep
pockets buyers. And it seems against-May to launch a home furnishings
design center at a time when new home sales have crashed, the furniture
industry has been bleeding and consumer confidence is fragile, founder
Kevin Kenney said that the time has come to St. Louis to claim its
place on the market.
For years, interior designers have
flocked to the Merchandise Mart in Chicago and similar centers in Los
Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta in search of their most demanding customers
homes.
“For designers, this is a godsend,” said Roesslein,
after Kenney its market through the property earlier this month during
a large part of opening for more than 1000 house builders, architects
and designers.
“Customers get frustrated functioning
throughout the city” during a major renovation or when creating a new
home, “said Barbara Slavkin, president of June Roesslein Interiors.
Almost two years, Kenney has purchased the two buildings of the former
Sunshine Plaza Drapery on the Service Road in Maryland Heights. A year
ago, he moved his 50,000-square-foot furniture exhibition, KDR showroom
to anchor its vision of one-stop luxury shopping mall owners.

When I decided to take the reigns of my life back and do something that would allow me to profit from my creativity, I considered a career in interior design. I struggled with that option countless times across a 20 year period when I was unsatisfied in my work. I researched, and even interviewed, many interior design schools in my “former life” but for some reason I never took the step to enroll. I decided with my BA, MBA and a couple decades of experience in business, being in a classroom for two to four years with kids 20 years my junior was not something I wanted to do.
Never mind tuition costs and the tremendous loss of income while you´re a student. Then who knows how many years of working experience as a designer or decorator would be needed after graduation to really start earning money. I wanted to unleash my creativity and love for decorating, but I definitely needed to start making money as soon as possible. So, I started my own home staging company.
As soon as my business was launched, the money was coming in. Within my second year as a home stager I was making up to $10,000 per month. Compare that to the median annual salary of $36,150 a year for an Interior Designer according to Salary.com this year. I´m very happy I trusted my instincts! Read the rest of this entry »
